SamenvattingAs the seventeen women-authored dramas described in this study show, this technique relates to the way in which Spanish American women are finding their voice and expressing their perceived roles in society. Game playing, role playing, and theatrical self-consciousness join together as strategies for allowing these women writers to define themselves and the world around them through the theater.
