This Spotlight on the SDGs paper shows that women’s employment is shaped by domestic and caregiving responsibilities, differently from men. The data collected pre-COVID-19 provide insights into the distribution of these responsibilities within various types of households. . .The publication was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, implying not only a health but also an economic and social crisis, especially for families and women. Increase in unpaid care work, losses in income and paid work, vulnerable conditions of single mothers are some examples.
