- Description
- The object of this book is integration of the concept of gender in the study of 'cultural transfer'. A second object is to give some historical background to the debate on multiculturalism and cultural exchange. The essays in the book are on the history of urban centres like Paris or Venice, on social spaces like academies, salons, and (royal) courts, and on cultural practices like lectures, conversations, scientific debate, correspondence, travel, fashion, and translation.

- Description
- Script of a performance in the form of an exchange of letters by two readers simultaneously, one reading the Italian and one English, about the week-long meetings in 1972 of Psychoanalyse et Politique (which formed in 1968 in Paris) and some of the women who went on to found The Milan Women's Bookstore Collective. These encounters gave rise to a series of practices that distinguish the Italian and French movements. 'Two voices' was first performed by Alex Martinis Roe and Federica Bueti on 19th March 2014 as part of the ongoing series Rhythms, Voices and Ties.
