Recognizing the danger and expolitation involved in all heterosex could lead to a defence of prostitution as more honest and as redressing the imbalance to some degree. Some feminist prostitutes argue that they at least insist on being paid for being used, other women just submit. More often, though, this emphasis leads to a view of prostitution as the epitome of all that is wrong with male-dominated sex. On the other hand, sexual enthusiasts can seek to cast the prostitute as the ultimate liberated woman has rather improbably done. Or they can champion women's free pursuit of autonomous and self-defined sexual pleasure and condemn prostitution as capitulation to men's ideas.
