The work of Mary Wollstonecraft, Charlotte Brontë, Dorothy Richardson, Daphne du Maurier, Alice Walker, Audre Lorde, Toni Morrison and others is considered in the light of theorists as Judith Butler, Elisabeth Grosz, Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari, Cixous and Irigaray.
