Book on the relationship between gender and attitudes toward security issues. The author examines the existence of significant gender differences on issues of national security, the causes and implications of these differences. The data analysed are based on a cross-national collection of global opinion polls on a variety of global issues, such as attitudes towards use of military force, defense spending and the use of torture as a policy instrument.
