- Description
- Being “wild” often carries a negative connotation, especially for marginalized groups. The question is what it gains to shake off social constraints and embrace freedom. This special issue explores people, groups and social ideas that are committed to liberation at all costs whether it’s the freedom fighters in Palestine, activists making the outdoors more accessible or Western American writers remaking the Wild West lit canon.

- Description
- This special issue brings together feminist scholars to theorize anti-muslim racism. Intertwining global and regional contexts, the contributors explore how discourses of anti-muslim racism install white, western subjects as superior and the heteronormative white family as the basis of political life. The issue focuses on how racial discourses are gendered and sexualized and how those who are marginalized articulate their gendered dreams of an alternative lifeworld.
