Overview of the situation from 1 July - 30 September 2003 in Burma, in which the tension between the SPDC (Sate Peace and Development Council) and the NLD (National League for Democracy) was high. A report on the democracy, military, human rights and ethnic relations is given. The chapter 'Women and children' contains issues on: women leaders, sanctions and sex slavery and 'the SPDC pays parents for child soldiers'.
