This book documents the lives and work of one hundred and eleven female musicians in Serbia. The activities described in this bibliographical dictionary cover different genres: from traditional, popular and classical to jazz, rock and liturgical. The dictionary follows an essay on the history of Serbian music, the composers’ musical languages and the contexts that contributed to their creation. This book forms the central part of a project on Serbian female composers and music creators. The book is written in Serbian (p. 9-92), English (p. 93-176) and Italian (p. 177-201).
