- This document presents the findings of the conference within the context of a broader critique of economic .liberalization which includes limited reference to the experiences of Canada and Mexico. The paper contains background information on the Beijing Platform for Action, U.S. governmental and NGO involvement in .the UN 4th World Conference on Women, an overview of trade liberalization, sections on employment, access to services, agriculture and food security, and national sovereignty. Each section weaves analysis with excerpts from the presentations given at the November 17th seminar.
