- Puah Rakovsky (1865-1955) who was a professional educator, Zionist activist and feminist leader, tells about her experiences as a Jewish woman in late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century Poland. She founded a Jewish girls' school in Warsaw and a national Jewish women's organisation in the 1920s.
