At Health Canada, the 'Gender Based Analysis' has been integrated in their program as a tool to illustrate how gender influences the health status of women and men and the differences in access and use of health services. In this report, the Gender Based Analysis is explained and key concepts are given. It shows how it is integrated into research, policy and program development. Four case studies are presented.
