The Paris Declaration (PD) and Accra Agenda for Action (AAA) set out a reform agenda of ownership, harmonisation, alignment, results-orientation and mutual accountability. This seminar is about the ongoing processes through a gender lens. It highlights the rationale for a gender-sensitive PD and AAA and analyses opportunities and challenges of the different PD/AAA key principles for gender equality and empowerment. It assesses to what extent a gender perspective has been integrated in the PD and its ongoing review processes. Besides an international focus, we take stock and analyse how Dutch Development Cooperation is handling gender concerns in the realm of the ongoing changes in aid policies and instruments.
