- Description
- This resource guide responds to the gaps that exist in addressing the safety of women journalists online, that directly affects the quality of democracies and the right of society to access a plurality of information. The guide aims to assist states and provide guidance to all relevant stakeholders, including non-state actors, across the OSCE region in addressing online harassment and abuse against women journalists. After an introduction of the problem and a mapping of international human rights standards that support the safety of women journalists online, 40 actions are proposed to be implemented with one common gender-responsive approach. This publication is part of the project “Safety of Female Journalists Online”, or #SOFJO.

- Description
- This publication serves as a knowledge base to understand and enforce action concerning gender-based violence (GBV) and environmental issues. It argues that gender-based abuse is observed across environmental contexts and affects the security of communities and the realisation of sustainable development goals (SDGs). The analysis shows the interlinking nature of GBV across three main contexts: access to and control of natural resources (land, forests, agriculture, water and fisheries): environmental pressure and threats (environmental crimes, extractive industries and agribusiness and climate change and weather-related disasters): and environmental action to defend and conserve ecosystems and resources (women environmental human rights defenders, environmental projects and environmental workplaces). The publication focuses on awareness and engagement of actors working in environmental and sustainable development, gender equality and GBV policymaking to apply rights-based, gender-responsive approaches to environmental policy, programmes and projects. The publication contains a list of case studies.

- This 2020 edition assesses the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the structural obstacles in its realization. It reveals the features of the COVID-19 emergency and its relations with other crises, including increased job loss, hunger and homelessness, increasing racial and gender violence and escalating climate disasters.. .The first part of the report, based on national civil society reports, describes how COVID-19 and resulting lockdown has affected countries in different ways, depending on their social and economic circumstances.
