This report describes the COVID-19 crisis in the United States. The crisis impacts women, men, girls, boys and other genders differently. The pandemic affects especially women and girls in terms of care burdens, disruptions in income and education, poor access to health and other social services, greater risk of loosing land and property and gender digital and pay gaps. The crisis will also have implications for U.S. investments in global women’s economic initiatives. The gender and social norm manifestations of COVID-19 present an urgent need for governments, businesses, community leaders, and decision-makers to act. The report gives some recommendations for the US government.
