Almost nothing is known about the psychodynamic, social and other grounds for the resistance to condoms on the part of prostitute clients. Information that could assist an AIDS-prevention is also lacking. The investigation introduced here was intended to fill these informational gaps. Its main goals were the analysis of the social and psychological characteristics of prostitute clients and the identification of determinants of condom use in the area of commercial sex.
