Isabella Eberhardt
Isabelle Eberhardt (1877-1904) reisde zeven jaar verkleed als jongen door de woestijn van Noord-Afrika. Gehuld in mannenkleding maakte ze lange trektochten, ze had een verhouding met een Arabische officier en bekeerde zich tot de islam. Zij schreef dagboeken, verhalen, een roman en reisschetsen.- Creator

Een selectie van artikelen en krantenknipsels uit de jaren zestig en zeventig over een aantal van de belangrijkste aspecten van het streven naar de bevrijding van vrouwen. Aan bod komen de verschillende stromingen in deze bevrijdingsbeweging, die van elkaar verschillen in de analyse van het probleem en derhalve in de gekozen strategie en actievorm (bv. solidarisering van alle vrouwen, of solidarisering van mannen en vrouwen van eenzelfde klasse). In elk hoofdstuk zijn enkele teksten over de situatie van vrouwen in de kerk opgenomen.
