Bridging the digital gender divide
This brochure presents the key messages of a report concerning the advancement of the '2017 G20 roadmap for digitalisation: policies for a digital future', in particular the support of equal participation of women in the digital economy. It provides policy directions for governments by analyzing the root of the digital gender divide. .First it identifies the causes and effects of womens and girls' digital gaps through three areas of policy action: include, upskill and innovate. It focuses on issues concerning hurdles to access, affordability, lack of education, lower educational enrolment in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and ICT disciplines, limited use of digital tool, payment and glass ceiling. Then it describes the role of policy in narrowing these digital and gender gaps.- Creator

Feminist climate finance brief
In this brief, WEDO (Women’s Environment and Development Organization) argues that gender equality is a critical element of effective, sustainable climate action. After a short background about integration of gender perspectives into all climate finance, it proposes alternatives for constructing a climate finance portfolio that is feminist. It also highlights key challenges and opportunities for understanding gender-responsive programmes. One of WEDO's recommendations is to use lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic to prioritize comprehensive, long-term feminist investing and monitoring.. .The brief consists of three parts: making the case for a feminist portfolio: opportunities for rethinking climate finance investments: transform discourse on effective climate finance.- Creator

Kadin bellegini olusturmada kaynak sorunu = Women’s memory: the problem of sources
One of the purposes of this international symposium is to widen the scope of research on women's history by means of questing for new strategies of cataloguing women's documents and thus to go beyond the borders of classical methods of archiving. Another significant aim is creating and disseminating awaremess of protecting women's archives and documents and to ensure that the individuals, institutions and women organisations preserve their own documents more effectively. Two specialists of the International Information Centre and Archives for the Women's Movement (IIAV) in Amsterdam made a contribution to these symposium proceedings. Marjet Douze paints ‘New perspectives on the role of the Women’s Library in the globalized and digital world’. Tilly Vriend reflects on the history, development and use of the (European) women's thesaurus: 'Its a women's world in the Women's thesaurus'.- Creator

Gender budgeting
This report focuses on gender budgeting as a gender mainstreaming tool to promote gender-responsive macroeconomic policies and budgetary processes in the European Union (EU). It draws on a previous study in 2016 of gender budgeting initiatives and budgeting processes at EU and EU member state levels. The report links EU macroeconomic policy and the achievement of gender equality through gender budgeting, based on the assessment of the implementation of gender budgeting in the EU’s budgetary processes. Results show that until 2012, only eight EU Member States had a legal obligation to implement gender budgeting or gender impact assessments of ministerial budgets.- Creator

Authorizing early modern European women
The essays in this volume analyze strategies used by contemporary novelists, playwrights, screenwriters and biographers interested in bringing the stories of early modern women to modern audiences. It also pays attention to the historical women creators themselves, who, be they saints or midwives, visual artists or poets and playwrights, stand out for their roles as active practitioners of their own arts and for their accomplishments as creators. The volume considers the relation between biography, historical fiction, and contemporary fictionalizations of historical figures.- Creator

Transformative pathways
Principles from feminism, including decoloniality, intersectionality and degrowth provide a framework for understanding how various forms of inequality often interconnect. Climate and gender justice calls for alternatives for mitigating climate change, that move away from use of power. This publication analyses the goals of the Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement, in order to propose specific targets for the Sustainable Development Goals, from economic, environmental and gendered perspectives. It gathers evidence on concrete alternatives, that recognise women in all their diversity as vital agents of change, build people-powered democracy and stand in contrast with individualistic or profit-oriented climate solutions.- Creator

Time for feminist action and implementation
The Feminist United Nations (U.N.) Campaign brings together leading feminist thinkers in civil society, philanthropy and academia, as well as former U.N. staff around a shared agenda for women’s rights and gender equality at the U.N. Since 2017, the Campaign has been issuing annual report cards, grading U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres on his progress towards six key action areas: 1. articulate and implement a feminist leadership agenda; 2. ensure feminist implementation and accountability for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); 3. finance for gender equality; 4. utilize feminist leadership through parity and rights protections; 5. enable a feminist transformation for the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and UN Women; and 6. promote the freedom of information in the U.N. system. In 2021, Secretary-General Guterres has earned an overall B-, reflecting a significant need for improvement as he embarks on his second term from 2022-2026.- Creator

Data and research on human trafficking
During the last decade the number of studies about human trafficking increased. This review of research and data on trafficking shows that despite the growing literature on trafficking around the world, relatively few studies are based on comprehensive or empirical research. Besides, information on the actual numbers of people trafficked remains unclear. The book suggests different ways in which to improve research and data on human trafficking. It is an offprint of the special issue of International Migration Vol. 43 (1/2) 2005.- Creator

Gender equality in national parliaments across the EU and the European Parliament
This report describes the 2019 results from EIGE’s Gender-sensitive Parliaments tool. The study aims to enlarge gender sensitivity in parliaments across the European Union. It is the first EU-wide assessment which analyses gender sensitivity. Parliaments can use the tool to assess their level of gender equality, identify the areas where further efforts should be made and monitor their progress in this respect. Results illustrate that gender quotas has contributed to higher parliamentary participation rates of women. On the other hand, over half of the parliaments have a lack of gender-sensitive physical spaces (such as crèches) and adequate display of the historical and current achievements of women in politics.- Creator

Time to reach for the moon
This report considers EU measures of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As the EU’s current indicator set overlooks some key sustainability challenges, it argues that the selection of indicators is an important element of a SDG monitoring and reporting process, including an active role for the civil society. The report provides criteria to determine the relevance of indicators, considering seventeen .good examples of progressive policies, innovative initiatives and sustainable business models.- Creator

Free to be online?
This annual report examines experiences of girls and young women concerning their use of social media platforms. The research is conducted across 31 countries with over 14,000 girls and young women. The research shows that online harassment not only occurs 'because I'm a girl', but that race, ethnic background, sexual identity, disability and religion have a strengthening effect on the occurence.
