FemLink-Art
FemLink-Art
FemLink-Art is a women's artists' initiative, founded in 2005 by the French artist Véronique Sapin and the American artist C.M. Judge, with to goal to create an international common artwork that builds a link throughout the world between women artists and their work. From 2005 to 2014 nine video-collages were launched and screened in 42 countries: AGRESSION, FEMALE, FRAGILITY, MALE, PREOCCUPATION, PROTEST, RESISTANCE, VITAL, WONDER. In 2014 FemLink-Art, in their fight for the equitable inclusion of women artists on the world stage, invited eight male artists to create videos for the video-collage 'Portraits of women visual artists'. This catalogue gives per video-collage a description of each video. It also includes biographies of the artists and a list of screenings and exhibitions per year.
