'Thuis in Nederland? Doe mee!'. Emancipatie - Integratie.
Een van vier banners die deel uitmaakten van de publiekscampagne 'Thuis in Nederland? Doe mee!', een initiatief vanuit de rijksoverheid om participatie van vrouwen uit etnische minderheidsgroepen aan lokale activiteiten te bevorderen. Op 23 februari 2005 verklaarde minister Verdonk van Vreemdelingenzaken en Integratie de campagne officieel voor geopend op het congres 'Emancipatie en Integratie' in stadsdeelhuis Amsterdam-Noord. De campagne was een concrete vertaling van het 'Plan van Aanpak' dat minister Verdonk en De Geus in oktober 2003 aan de Tweede Kamer hadden gezonden. -

Proefschrift Universiteit van Amsterdam. Onderzoek naar de bijdrage die het recht kan leveren aan de maatschappelijke integratie van nieuwe bevolkingsgroepen zoals Antillianen, Surinamers, Turken, Marokkanen, Molukkers, woonwagenbewoners, zigeuners en vluchtelingen. Onderzocht zijn o.a. hoe marginalisering kan worden voorkomen en hoe gelijkheid kan worden bevorderd, zowel van individuen als van verschillende culturen.- Creator

Minderhedenbeleid en moraal
Erkenning van het recht om uiting te geven aan culturele identiteit is sinds het einde van de jaren zeventig een van de uitgangspunten van het minderhedenbeleid van de Nederlandse overheid. In dezestudie wordt de morele rechtvaardiging van dit uitgangspunt onderzocht. Centraal staat daarin de vraag of het mogelijk is om een adequate rechtvaardiging van de erkenning van culturele identiteit in termen van een liberale moraal te geven. Aandacht voor het multiculturalisme-debat in de politieke filosofie en de theorieën van John Rawls, Charles Larmore, Will Kymlicka, Bert Musschenga en Joseph Raz.- Creator

In deze special een reactie van E-quality op de meerjarennota emancipatiebeleid 'Van vrouwenstrijd naar vanzelfsprekendheid'. De concepten balans tussen privé en publiek en diversiteit worden nader uitgewerkt, er worden aanbevelingen gedaan over de rol van de overheid wat betreft emancipatieondersteuningsstructuur en er wordt concreter ingegaan op de domeinen arbeid, zorg en inkomen, macht en besluitvorming, mensenrechten. -
