Description | 'The study aims to analyze the representation of Muslim women in Dutch society. Using ethnicity, gender, and political thought (regarding feminism) it attempts to demonstrate the lived realities of Dutch Muslims in the Netherlands. The paper finds that all Dutch Muslims face some degree of discrimination by the state and are conflicted about what constitutes being Dutch. They also accept feminism on an individual level but reject it as political ideology.' |
