Description | 'This report reflects on the effectiveness of strategies for gender equality in the context of the new architecture of aid. It concludes that in order to realise the new aid modalities’ positive potential for the promotion of gender equality, it is vital that they are accountable to national constituencies, including to women’s rights advocates. This should be reflected in the Millennium Development Goals, and in particular in Goal 8 – the goal which promotes partnership between the North and the South.' |
