- The collection contains nine performance scripts by black and Latina/o queer playwrights and performance artists, each accompanied by an interview and critical essay conducted or written by scholars of black, Latina/o, and queer expressive practices. The volume's framing device 'blacktino' grounds the specificities of black and brown social and political relations. Whether interrogating constructions of Latino masculinity, theorizing the black queer male experience, or examining black lesbian relationships, the contributors present blacktino queer performance as an artistic, critical, political, and collaborative practice

- Description
- Gender inequality persists in most countries. This collection highlights patterns of behaviour and gender relations and locates women at the centre of a dialogue and presents key interventions in gender and race matters. For the contributors, gender serves as an analytical framework and covers the experiences of women in different global settings related to education, political activism, corporeal violence, identity, sexuality, and poverty. The use of poetry and literature provides a powerful voice for women against exclusion and recognises their contribution to society.

- Description
- This book is about the neglect of gender and race in explanations of the Global Financial Crisis. It is also about the sexual scandals and gendered austerity policies that have relegated public debate, and the crisis itself. We need to look at the activities and the privileges of the advantaged - the 'TED women' of the crisis -- as much as the victimization of the disadvantaged - to fully grasp the interplay between gender and economy in this age of restoration .

- Description
- The book is focused on intersectionality between gender, race and disability and the question of whether this intersection can be adequately addressed in (EU) law. The discussion rests on two basic assumptions. First, the multiplication of 'discrimination grounds' in EU law and other legal regimes should not result in a dilution of the demands of equality law. Accordingly, the book focuses on the three key grounds - race, gender and disability.. Second, any multi-ground non-discrimination law framework needs to engage with the question of discrimination on several grounds.
