In order to achieve this data are needed: data that provide the most useful information on gendered opportunities and data that will allow the best decisions to be made. The report aims to provide the framework for the necessary data analysis to achieve these goals and betapresents a framework on Gender Equality in the Knowledge Society. Based on a gendered analysis of the major indexes of science, technology and innovation (STI), information and communication technology (ICT) and the knowledge society, it is meant to guide policy makers to better understand what sectors of the economy and society are the most strategically relevant to women’s development goals.

- Description
- This report studies sexism and gender-based violence in European parliaments. The survey’s findings are based on interviews with 123 female members of parliaments (MPs) and parliamentary staff from 45 European countries. Results show that sexism, abuses of power and (online) psychological, physical and sexual violence against women in parliaments exist in all the Council of Europe’s member States. For example, 85.2 per cent of female MPs said they suffered psychological violence in the course of their parliamentary career. The study calls on parliaments and parliamentarians to take action on these issues, such as implementing laws to combat violence against women and promoting a gender- and equality-sensitive culture in parliament.

- Description
- As this collection demonstrates, feminist scholars are producing a rich and diverse body of knowledge within their universities today. Often they work in isolation from one another and often their knowledge is not disseminated to the broader community. From its inception, the goal of this collection has been to publicize the work of feminist research across the disciplines and to foster an open and inclusive communication between academic and community feminists. These essays bring to the fore a constellation of concerns that are linked to the broader women's movement and to global feminism, ranging from recovering histories to the rise of global connectivity. The essays together create a complex and dynamic interconnection of voices that speak to feminists both in academia and in the wider world.
