This article explores racial performance and the hypersexualisation of women of colour in the Dutch sex industry. Racialised women are often considered victims of sex trafficking in the global sex trade. Based on both theories on racialisation and interviews, the author highlights how Dutch black sex workers perform images of blackness and racial stereotypes when seducing clients.- Creator

Twee redactieleden gaan veertig jaar terug in de geschiedenis van het Tijdschrift voor Vrouwenstudies, de voorloper van het Tijdschrift voor Genderstudies. Beiden waren betrokken bij de oprichting van het tijdschrift in 1980 en zaten de eerste vijf jaar in de redactie. De keukentafel en de keukendeur
Analysis of male partners' contribution to housework, with primary data from heterosexual couples. Results illustrate that for the lower-class households (those who supply household services), men perform more unpaid housework when their female partner earns a relatively high income. For the higher-class households (those demanding services) no such effect was found: instead, men with relatively high income reduce their contribution to housework.- Creator
