- Description
- This book considers the experiences of queer muslims in Belgium. It focuses on queer muslims who migrated to Belgium because of their sexuality and queer muslims who are children of economic migrants. Part 1 discusses how LGB persons from an ethnic minority negotiate silence and disclosure around their sexuality, especially within family relationships, both in and across Belgian borders. The second part focuses on newly arrived queer muslim migrants and the transformations in their sexual subjectivities. Part 3 addresses the intersections between sexuality, religion and transnational migration of both second- and third-generation migrants and queer migrants.
