Marie-Geneviève-Charlotte Darlus Thiroux d’Arconville (1720–1805) was a key figure in a community of elite scientists in early modern Paris. In this essay, the author examines how Madame d’Arconville became a vital part of the scientific community through collaboration and dialogue with her male counterparts and through her own publications and translations in chemistry and anatomy.
