Historisch en sociaal-wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar het woonland als identificatiekader voor Nederlandse, Britse en Franse jongeren (14-18). Onderzocht wordt de nationale identiteit van het woonland binnen het dynamisch en meervoudig proces van identiteitsvorming onder jongeren. Uitgangspunt is dat mensen culturele codes vanuit een meervoudig verleden overdragen in verhalen en herinneringen.
The authors examine the conduct of men and women in the British Empire, focusing on topics such as politics, medicine, sexuality, childhood, religion and migration and ask why the empire was dominated by men and how that domination affected the conduct of imperial politics.
