- This policy brief focuses on some key challenges faced by women during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These include: caring responsibilities outside and at home: employment and risks to women’s jobs, income and the increased risk of female poverty, women in developing countries and gender-based violence. The final section discusses policy challenges and options to support women, workers and families with caring responsibilities or facing job loss, entrepreneurs and small-business owners and victims of gender-based violence. It also presents policy options such as gender budgetting and mainstreaming to ensure policy responses account for gender as well as policy options to safeguard the progress of gender-related SDGs.

- Onderzoek naar de aard en omvang van discriminatie wegens zwangerschap of moederschap .op het werk of bij het zoeken naar werk in Nederland. Bijkomend doel van het onderzoek is een vergelijking met vorige metingen (2012 en 2016) en effectiviteitstoetsing van enkele beleidsinterventies. Ruim 1100 werkende vrouwen die in de afgelopen vier jaar een kind kregen, werden gevraagd naar hun ervaringen en gevoelens van discriminatie op de arbeidsmarkt.. .Verschillende fases van arbeid zijn onderzocht: sollicitaties, aanbieden van een arbeidsovereenkomst, arbeidsvoorwaarden, arbeidsomstandigheden en beëindigingen van arbeidsrelaties. Uit de resultaten blijkt dat in alle fases van het arbeidsproces vrouwen risico lopen om te worden gediscrimineerd als gevolg van zwangerschap.
