- The authors describe the violence against women in Guatemala, specifically focusing on the number of murders, the victims, the context in which they occur, the theories behind the murders, and the specific circumstances that led victim Rodi to leave Guatemala and seek asylum in the U.S. They examine aspects of the Guatemalan legal and judicial systems, the ineffective response from police, prosecutors and the judiciary, that results in widespread impunity for perpetrators. They describe Guatemala's international obligations to protect women and the current U.S. programs offering economic assistance to strenghten the Guatemalan criminal justice system.

- This article is a reaction on a review of West's book Caring for Justice. In this book, the author was providing a feminist perspective on traditional jurisprudence. The critique was that the book exhibited tendencies towards 'totalitarianism' and 'slave morality'. In this article, West looks at physic, physical, economic and political harm that women disproportionately suffer by virtue of unwanted intrusions into their bodies, in the form of both unwelcom sex and unwelcome pregnancies.

- In July 2006 Act Together, Women's Action for Iraq, hosted Sundus Abass, Director of Women in Leadership Institute, Baghdad, in London for 15 days. This publication is a record of some of the activities that happened during those days. The aim of the visit was to highlight the work that Iraqi women are doing to try to amend the new Iraqi Constitution. This publication includes three speeches that were given at a public meeting in July 2006 at The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), in London. A film was made by Maysoon Pachachi, one of the members of Act Together, of a discussion in Arabic between three Iraqi women activists – the translated transcript of the edited half hour film is also in this volume.
