Collection of fairy tales in which the genders are switched. Creative technologist Jonathan Plackett created a computer algorithm that swapped all gendered language, turning 'he' into 'she', 'daughters' to 'sons', 'her' to 'his', 'Lord' to 'Lady', 'dress' to 'suit' and so on. He and his wife illustrator Karrie Fransman applied this on the 'Fairy Books', a series with tales from all over the world, edited by Andrew Lang (and probably also by his wife Leonora Blanche 'Nora' Lang) and published between 1889 and 1913. The fairy tales are not rewritten, but new characters have emerged who didn't conform to old gender stereotypes.
