- Women's International Zionist Organization for an Improved Israeli Society (WIZO) looks back at 85 years. WIZO was founded by Rebecca Sieff, Vera Weizman and Edith Eder in 1920 in London during the founding conference of World WIZO. The delegates of this conference from all over the world wanted an organization in order to advance the welfare of women and children in Palestine and to carry out specific tasks in the rebuilding of Palestine.
