- Description
- Hannah Vogt (1910-1994) was a young student in Göttingen when she was arrested for high treason in 1933. Her crime was that she was a member of the German communist party (KPD). She was also accused of political activism. She stayed in prison and in the women's concentrationcamp Moringen, near Göttingen, for nine months, without any form of trial. In that period she wrote letters home. The correspondence, presented in this book, reflect the dramatic situation of the first months after the start of National Socialist rule in Germany and it describes one of the the first concentrationcamps, and the way Hannah Vogt lived through her enprisonment.
