Globally women workers continue to be underrepresented in decision-making bodies and processes that shape workplaces and employment outcomes. This policy brief examines the reasons for this situation and identifies actions that governments and employers’ and workers’ organizations could take to advance gender equality through social dialogue. The brief looks at how social dialogue can deliver gender-equal .outcomes in a range of different sectors and identifies the circumstances and factors that can lead to transformative change.
