Compilation of articles which look at issues related to feminist analyses and their application in the study of religion. Part 1 develops themes related to feminist theorizing. Part 2 focuses on how these themes function when applied to the study of women in religion. Part 3 and 4 problematize feminist theories within the study of religion, drawing on notions of difference and the tendency of early feminism to negate geographical, political, economic and ethnic differences. Part 5 deals with the shift from modernist to post-structuralist and postmodern theories.
