- Description
- Author first describes the differences between health culture and anti-trafficking culture. Both cultures have in common a history of repression, and both carry a hugh metaphorical and symbolic weight: from syphilis to AIDS white slavery to trafficking in women, prostitution has always stood for vastly more than just the rather mundane, practical business of getting on with making a living. There is a lot of overlap between these two cultures.
