- Description
- The author explores the role of sexual desire in the formation of radical black females’ subjectivities in black women’s culture through the trickster figure, based on close readings of African American women's texts. She argues that black folklore, oral forms and mythical figures in black folklore and vernacular traditions provide alternative ways for black women to conceptualize and represent their gender and sexual desires.
