In this study approximately 70 morbidly obese individuals were recruited. Half of the participants received the intervention programme, and half of the participants were placed on a waiting list. Measures of body image (e.g., body satisfaction, body appreciation) – as well as secondary outcomes such as selfesteem and body weight – were measured at pretest, posttest, one week follow-up, and three month follow-up.
